We are the
Foundation for Pathobiochemistry and Molecular Diagnostics (SPMD)
with the
Reference Institute for Bioanalytics (RfB)
The SPMD is a foundation under civil law with the aim of promoting medical science and research, as well as public health care. It operates the Reference Institute for Bioanalytics as part of quality assurance in medical laboratories.
To this end, the RfB conducts EQA-Schemes for external quality control across the entire field of laboratory medicine.
The RfB is accredited as a proficiency testing provider in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17043; the RfB’s calibration laboratories are also accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 15195.
Our quality management representatives are an active part of the Medical-Technical Service and, in addition to their work in quality management, are also actively involved in the evaluation of EQA-Schemes, scientific customer support and the production of EQA-Scheme samples.
What you bring to the role
• A completed vocational qualification as a medical laboratory technician (MTA), biotechnology assistant (BTA) or clinical technologist (CTA)
• Experience or aspirations in the field of quality management
• Ideally, training as an internal auditor or in the area of safety data sheets
• A high level of quality awareness
• An independent, reliable and responsible approach to work
• Willingness to carry out external audits (occasional travel)
• Very good written and spoken communication skills in German and English
Your responsibilities
• Regularly reviewing and updating the Quality Management Manual (QMM)
• Ensuring that all requirements (e.g. ISO standards, customer specifications, legal regulations) are met
• Drafting, monitoring and reviewing all work and procedural instructions
• Assisting with risk analyses
• Planning, conducting and evaluating internal audits
• Preparing for and supporting external audits
• Assisting with the annual management review
• Recording and managing non-conformities
• Handling all formalities required for accreditation
• Tasks of the Medical-Technical Service: interlaboratory test evaluation, scientific customer support, sample production
