We are pleased to inform you that the RfB is expanding its external quality assurance offer in laboratory medicine. In March 2026, we will offer you a pilot EQA scheme for the determination of hemoglobinopathies (HGP) in lyophilized, stabilized whole blood (0.2 ml).
Analytes of the pilot EQA scheme:
- Hemoglobin A (HbA)
- Hemoglobin A₂ (HbA2)
- Hemoglobin S (HbS)
- Hemoglobin F (HbF)
- Evaluation of diagnosis
Participation in this pilot EQA scheme is free of charge for registered participants. You can register via your participant account at www.rfb.bio . The number of participants is limited to 20, and places will be allocated in the order in which registrations are received. After the registration deadline, you will be notified whether you can take part in the pilot EQA scheme.

Study period: 23 March 2026 – 4 April 2026
