ISO/IEC 17043 accreditation of a suitability provider alone does not automatically guarantee fulfilment of all requirements of the German Medical Association’s guideline (RiliBÄK).

Participation in EQA-Schemes with a DIN ISO 17043 accredited proficiency testing provider only fulfils the requirements of the RiliBÄK if the provider additionally:

– In addition to the DIN EN ISO/IEC 17043 accreditation, it also fulfils the other requirements described in chapters E1 and E2 of the RiliBÄK and is listed by the German Medical Association.

The German Accreditation Body (DAkkS) checks whether the provider fulfils these requirements.

The RfB is officially listed by the German Medical Association as a reference institute in accordance with RiliBÄK Part E and therefore fulfils all the necessary criteria for laboratory medicine in Germany.
