The German Medical Association (BÄK) is the central organisation of medical self-administration in Germany. It represents the professional interests of all doctors and ensures that high quality standards are maintained in all areas of medicine.
One of its most important tasks in the laboratory sector is the quality assurance of laboratory medical examinations. To this end, it publishes the guidelines of the German Medical Association for the quality assurance of laboratory medical examinations (RiLi-BÄK).
This guideline specifies how laboratories must check the quality of their measurement results internally and externally.
