The RiLi-BÄK (“Directive of the German Medical Association”) is the statutory basis for quality assurance in German laboratory medicine.
It regulates:
- the implementation of internal quality control,
- participation in external quality assurance measures (EQA-Schemes),
- Evaluation and tolerance limits for analytes and
- the technical responsibility of the laboratory management.
The aim is to achieve a uniformly high quality of medical-diagnostic examinations in Germany.
RfB supports laboratories in the implementation of this guideline through reference-based EQA-Schemes that are directly adapted to the RiLi-BÄK specifications.
